Mayor opens meeting at 7:08pm

Pledge of Allegiance

Present: Mayor Miccio, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Trustees Ferrara, Newhard and Brozier

Mayor entertains motion to approve the minutes of the February 1st meeting, So Move, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, Discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Trustee Brozier Abstained. Motion carried.

Mayor reads abstracts:

Trust & Agency $5,666.75

Capital Proj WWTP Gen. $38,541.27

Capital Proj Village Hall Renov. $20,586.25

Mayor entertains motion to approve abstracts as read, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Mayor entertains motion to accept Proclamation for the Month of April to be Parkinson’s Awareness Month in the Village of Fishkill, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Motion carried.

Mayor reads proclamation and entertains motion to proclaim the Month of May as Mental Health Awareness Month in the Village and have ribbons placed throughout Village during May, so Move, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried.

Mayor entertains motion to approved cabaret license application for Fishkill All Sport, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, Discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Motion carried.

Mayor entertains motion to approve the Fishkill Historical Society’s request to use the Village Hall on March 19th, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Motion carried.

Mass gathering permit submitted for the May 8th K104 annual cupcake festival, Mayor entertains motion to approve as submitted, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried.

Mayor discusses Community Blackboard request from Rev. Linda Willey, Fishkill United Methodist Church. Rev. Willey summarizes request to have a “Community Blackboard” placed at Village Hall (unrelated to the church), for a day, for people to answer a question “Where do You Find Hope?”.

Mayor entertains motion to allow blackboard to be set up in front of Village Hall for a day, So Move Trustee Brozier, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Motion carried

Representatives from St. Mary’s church are present to discuss the 5K run on April 9th through the Village. Mayor entertains motion to allow 5k Run, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, all in Favor, Aye.  Motion carried.

Mayor entertains motion to set a public hearing for a proposed local law (Bill A-2016) to Amend the Fines for Parking Offenses in the village of Fishkill for March 7th at 7pm, So Move, Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Deputy Mayor Phillips, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Motion carried

Mayor reads Membership report and fundraising Pizza sale and Turkey dinner and entertains motion to approve membership, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, Discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Motion carried.

Justice: Mayor reads report submitted by Court Clerk; on file.

Police: Commissioner Scofield reads report, on file

Water/Sewer: Dave Morrison reads report, on file

Project Coordinator report read by Rad Wilson

Ambulance report submitted by Trustee Newhard (on file)

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to adjourn, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.
