Mayor opens Public Hearing for Bill D-2013 a proposed local law to override the tax levy established in municipal law §3-c and gives summary of Bill

No public comments, Mayor closes public hearing for Bill D-2013 and opens public hearing for 2013/2014 Budget

No public comment Mayor closes public hearing and opens the regular Board meeting.

Mayor entertains motion to accept the minutes of the April 1st meeting So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded Ferrara, none, all in favor, Aye,

Mayor reads abstracts:

General $43,411.30

Water $11,169.35

Sewer $24,623.44

Trust & Agency $29,937.33

Cap. Projects Firehouse Renovation $7,579.07

Cap. Projects Village Hall Renovation $1,411.91

Mayor entertains motion to approve abstracts as read, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.

Mayor entertains motion to adopt Bill D-2013 as Local Law 4-2013, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Deputy Mayor Phillips, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.

Mayor entertains motion to approve the 2013/2014 budget as presented, So Move, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Michael Boyjian, Robinson Street is present to request a memorial street sign put in place for past Mayor George Carter,

Discussion on placement and name.

Trustee Ferrara moves to have a memorial street sign put below Givens Lane Street sign that reads “George N. Carter Lane”, Seconded Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried.  Dedication ceremony will be announced at a later date.

Trustee Brozier moves to approve the mass gathering permit submitted by the Fishkill Rotary, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Information given for the Relay for Life event at Fishkill Allsport; Trustee Brozier suggests notifying sponsor to make sure the public does not park on Loudon Drive.

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to approve request from Daniel Kalbfus to use the courtroom for his annual piano recital on June 26th, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Mayor reads the resolution for the Village of Fishkill Election and entertains motion to accept as read, So Move, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Mayor reads water and sewer warrant for the first quarter of 2013 for $475,831.15 and entertains motion to accept as read, So Move, Trustee Newhard, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Mayor entertains motion to set a public hearing for the MS4 annual report for May 20th at 7pm, So Move, Trustee Brozier, Seconded, Deputy Mayor Phillips, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

FIRE: Chief Dean Scofield reads; on file.

JUSTICE: Mayor reads report submitted by Court Clerk; on file.

POLICE: Commissioner Glenn Scofield reads report; on file.

WATER AND SEWER: Mayor reads report as submitted by Dave Morrison, water and sewer Superintendent; on file.

Project Coordinator report read by Rad Wilson

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to loans table and chairs, no longer used by Village Hall to the Blodgett Library, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Ambulance report: Trustee Newhard submitted report (on file)

 

Trustee Ferrara moves to adjourn, seconded, Deputy Mayor Phillips, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  8:15 pm
