Mayor opens Public Hearing for Verizon Wireless Special Use permit – Legal notice published in Poughkeepsie Journal

 

Mayor opens for comments, no comments Mayor closes public hearing and opens regular Village Board meeting

Present: Mayor Miccio,Trustees Brozier, Ferrara and Newhard, Village Clerk Angela Arasim

Note; Deputy Mayor Phillips absent

 

Mayor entertains motion to approve the minutes of August 7th meeting, So Move, Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, none, all in favor, Aye.  Motion carried.

 

Mayor reads abstracts:

General $34,803.38

Capital Projects Weston Ave. and Glenham Meter Pit $20,534.55

Sewer $44,112.17

Water $10,075.50

Trust & Agency $11,692.50

 

Mayor entertains motion to approve abstracts as read, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee

Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried

 

Mayor reads resolution for Verizon Wireless Special Use permit approval and entertains motion to approve as read, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor,

Mayor entertains motion to change the October 16th meeting to October 23rd, So Move Trustee Brozier, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Carried.

 

Mayor discusses letter submitted by Anthony Sorci regarding a damaged tree on Cary Ave. Rad Wilson, will inspect tree

 

Board discusses security plan for Village Hall and short term items to be done by next meeting: Move hand scanner to front lobby, no entry or exit from side door, all staff to enter and exit through front, sign in/or sheet in lobby for staff, reactivate alarm system, designate a fire warden and fire rally location.

Demolition permit submitted for the garage at 69 Broad Street; Mayor entertains motion to approve permit pursuant to planning Board approval to reconstruct, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Carried.

 

Fire: read by Chief Knapp, on file.

Mayor reads Protection Engine Co. No. 1 active Membership additions Louis Rega, Stephen Hernandez, Nick Kopek, and Kenneth Voltz, and Assoc. membership Alexandra Maglioceo, and Kim Squeri-Rega, and entertains motion to accept memberships, So Move, Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Carried

Police report read by Commissioner Scofield, Jr.

 

Water/Sewer: Mayor reads report submitted by Dave Morrison , on file
