The governing body of the Village of Fishkill is the Mayor, the Board of Trustees, the Village Clerk and the Village Justice. Together, they form a microcosm of the very same decision making apparatus found in our nation's capitol.
Each elected official is chosen for a term of 2 years by the citizens of the Village, currently numbering more than 1,700. To be sure, representation of our citizenry is much more personal than that which most people are accustomed to experiencing. The electorate has a face, and leadership has a keen sense of the responsibility to families, friends and neighbors.
We are a part of the vast patchwork quilt of American government on a particularly grassroots level. We invite you to learn about each of the offices within our local government and "meet" your fellow citizens whose purpose is to make life here in the Village better.
