Mayor opens Village Board meeting.

Pledge of Allegiance

Present: Mayor Miccio, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Trustees Ferrara, Brozier and Newhard, Treasurer/Deputy Clerk Jennifer Hetling

Mayor entertains motion to approve the minutes of August 15th meeting, So Move, Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, Discussion, none, all in favor, Aye, Trustee Brozier abstained.  Motion carried.

Mayor reads abstracts:

Mayor entertains motion to approve abstracts as read, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Mayor entertains motion to approve the mass gathering permit submitted by the Classic Cruisers for the Car Show October 9th, raindate October 16th, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Carried.

Mayor entertains motion to appoint Caitlyn Brozier as an alternate member to the Planning Board for a one year term, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Trustee Brozier abstained. Carried.

Mayor entertains motion to appoint Stephen Brown as an alternate member to the Planning Board for a one year term, So Move Trustee Newhard, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Carried.

Mayor entertains motion to move Matt Vetare from alternate member to permanent member of the Planning Board for a 5 year term, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Carried.

Deputy Mayor Moves to deny the request to help fund the Community Action Partnership, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Carried.

Pastor Ron Pankey is present from the Church of the Nazarene, along with Ron Devito and Bill Brothers to discuss a proposed senior facilities/child day care center project at the Church property.

Mayor reads Bond Resolution for $1,200,000 for Weston Ave. Waterline Replacement and entertains motion to accept as read, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Carried

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to hire new officer Justin Scribner, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to appoint Officer Donald Williams, Jr. as Sergeant, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, Discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Carried

Trustee Ferraro moves to authorize the Mayor to sign the Settlement Agreement with the P.B.A, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Carried

Water/Sewer:

Deputy Mayor Phillips move to authorize the Mayor to sign the Notice to Proceed and associated bid documents for the only bid submitted for the Weston Ave. project from Bellamy Construction, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Carried

Trustee Ferrara moves to discontinue the agreement with Main Pool and Chemical Company as the Chlorine provider, as they have not complied with their agreement in their bid submitted, and enter into an agreement with the prior provider ESC Environmental, Seconded, Phillips, Discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Carried

Project Coordinator report read by Rad Wilson

Chief Brandon Knapp gives a presentation from the Fire Dept. to discuss establishing an Engine committee and a Rescue Committee for the purpose of evaluating/exploring current Engines and ambulance, and replacing some equipment. Will present the Board with recommendations for the committees at a later date.

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to adjourn, Seconded Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  9:05 pm
