Mayor opens public hearing for Bill D-2015 – a proposed local law to Extend by three months a moratorium site plan and special permits

Mayor gives summary of proposed law and opens it up to the public

Richard O’Rourke, Keane & Beane on behalf of Carmax regarding Ramada property, asks that the Board not extend moratorium much longer as it is holding back purchase an plans of property

Jason Pruett, Real Estate Manager Car Max, describes Car Max company

Mayor entertains motion to rescind the open container law for the Village Block party on August 15tha and raindate of August 22, on Main Street from 6pm to 10pm,So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried.

Mayor entertains motion to adopt Bill D-2015 as Local Law 4-2015, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Motion carried.

Mayor entertains motion to approve the Public Gathering application from the Fishkill Rotary for their Family Fun day on September 27, upon receiving appropriate fees, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried.

Mayor reads water sewer warrant for the 2nd quarter of 2015 and entertains motion to accept as read, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried.

Discussion on weight limits for trucks on Village roads; Mayor asks for more enforcement and more signs to be placed.

Mayor entertains motion to award the bid for the CDBG 2014 project to low bidder, Clove Excavators for $238,770 with alternates 1, 3, 4, 6, 7,  and 9, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried.

Mayor entertains motion to accept low bid for the Van Wyck Hall roof & façade project from Rondack Construction for $217,658, So Move, Trustee Brozier, Seconded, Deputy Mayor Phillips, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried.
