Mayor opens public hearing for Bill A-2013, a proposed local law to Amend the Zoning Law to Provide Additional Regulations for Specially permitted uses and make other Associated Changes

Mayor states section of proposed local law that will be removed; Section 171-89 Item #13 parking exemptions

Mayor reads abstracts as follows:

Mayor entertains motion to approve abstracts as read, So Move, Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye, Opposed, none, carried.

Mayor entertains motion to approve the minutes of the February 19th meeting, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Deputy Mayor Phillips reads resolution setting the Village Justice salary for fiscal years 2013/2014-2016-2017, and moves to approve as read, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Mayor reads resolution declaring April as Parkinson’s Disease Awareness month and entertains motion to accept as read, So Move Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Msgr. Martin, St. Marys Church, is present and Mayor Miccio presents him with a certificate of Appreciation for allowing the Village to use the Chapel for court sessions during reconstruction.

Certificate of Appreciation will also be given to Fishkill Dutch Reformed Church for allowing Village Meetings to be held there during renovation at Village Hall.

Mayor reads SEQR Negative Declaration for proposed local law to Amend the Zoning Law to Provide Additional Regulations for Specially permitted uses and Make other Associated Changes and entertains motion to accept as read, So Move, Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, All in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Mayor reads resolution to adopt Bill A-2013 as Local Law 2-2013 and entertains motion to accept as read, So Move Brozier, Seconded, Deputy Mayor Phillips, discussion, none, all in favor, Roll call vote, Trustee Ferrara, Aye, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Aye, Mayor Miccio, Aye, Trustee Newhard, Aye, Trustee Brozier, Aye, motion carried.

Mayor discusses letter received regarding a tire damaged from pothole on Merritt Blvd, Clerk states no prior notice of defect was filed on this pothole, no action to be taken on request to reimburse for damage.  Water department has filled the pothole.

Mayor Miccio entertains motion to allow Fire Department to proceed with bid process for the purchase of new truck, So Move Trustee Newhard, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.

Mayor opens for floor comments

Mike Hayden, Village business owner, is present to discuss parking issues for tenants of Main Street properties.  Committee formed will be discussing possible remedies for the parking situation

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to adjourn, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, Discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Meeting adjourned at 7:50 pm
