Receipt of bids:  Separate sealed Bids on forms prepared by the Engineer will be received by the Village of Fishkill until 2:00 p.m. (local time) on April 27, 2017, for the following:

VILLAGE OF FISHKILL GLENHAM METER PIT RELOCATION

Specifications and documents were prepared by the Office of Lawrence J. Paggi, PE, PC, 43 Broad Street, Fishkill, NY  12524.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. (local time) on April 27, 2017, at the Village Hall, Village of Fishkill, 1095 Main Street, Fishkill, NY.

There will be a pre-bid meeting and site inspection at 2:00 p.m. on April 20, 2017 at the Village of Fishkill Village Hall, 1095 Main Street, Fishkill, NY.

The information for Bidders, Specifications and other Contract Documents may be reviewed and obtained at Village Hall, Village of Fishkill, 1095 Main Street, Fishkill, NY.  There is a $50.00 charge for the Contract Documents, which shall be administered in accordance with NYS General Municipal Law, Section 102.  Checks shall be made payable to the Village of Fishkill.

Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Deposit Guarantee in an amount equal to at least five (5) percent of the amount of the Bid to the Village of Fishkill as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract.

The Bid Deposit shall be in Certified Check of the bidder or Bid Bond on the form of bid bond attached hereto and be drawn payable to the Village of Fishkill.

OWNERS RIGHTS RESERVED: The Village of Fishkill, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any Bid in the interest of the Owner.

STATEMENT OF NON-COLLUSION: Bidders on the Contracts are required to execute the non-collusion bidding certificate attached thereto pursuant to Section 3103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.

Bidders are also required to comply with the provision of Section 291-299 of the Executive Law of the State of New York.

The Owner hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in regard to any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for any award.

The Owner is an exempt organization under the Tax Law and is exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes of the State of New York and Cities and Counties of the State on all materials which are to be incorporated into the Village, pursuant to the provisions of the Contract.  These taxes are not to be included in the bid.
