Mayor opens Workshop meeting.

Mayor reads abstracts:

Mayor entertains motion to approve abstracts as read, So Move Trustee Ferrara, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.

Mayor entertains motion to accept the minutes of the May 19th meeting, So Move Trustee Brozier, Seconded, Ferrara, Discussion, none, all in favor, Aye,

Resolution read motion made by Deputy Mayor Phillips regarding the reappointments of the following Planning & Zoning Members: Beatrice Lindsay reappointed as Planning Board Member for 5 year term starting June 1, Theresa Palumbo reappointed to Zoning Board for 5 year term starting June 1, Reylene VanGeldern and Hillary Roberto appointed as alternate Planning Board members for 1 year term starting June 1, Dan Roberto appointed to replace Cathy Ann Nicholson for the remainder of her term to May 31, 2015, Greg Gomes reappointed as Alternate to Zoning Board, Seconded, Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried.

Waste Water Treatment Plant Generator bid, low bidder was Sausto Contracting; Mayor entertains a motion to authorize him to sign the contract with alternate of $88,000 for the pumps for a total of $615,950 So Move, Deputy Mayor Phillips, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion; Mayor states that one good thing is that Sausto was also the electrical contractor that did all electrical wiring at the plant, no further discussion, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried.

Mayor discusses letter from water customer that owns 16 Hemlock Court, regarding a leak at the property, which is the homeowner’s responsibility and is leaking onto neighbor’s property.  Owner is requesting a hardship for the Village to help with this situation.  Village Attorney states it would not be legal for Village to help with this situation; Mayor states the water should be shut off at the property until it is repaired by the owner.

Letter from Jason Morse is discussed, he is asking that his brother’s name be included on the Village Plaque for WWII, Board agrees to have it included

Reverend Wiley discusses the Blessing of the Animals event to be held on October 5th on Main Street and is asking for that section of road to be closed for the event. Discussion regarding waiving permit fees for non profit.

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to authorize Village Attorney to research merging village code sections 41 and 105, Second Trustee Newhard, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion carried

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to authorize the Mayor to sign the Mass gathering permit for the Blessing of the Animals, Seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, pending decision of fee, all in favor, Aye. Motion Carried.

Mayor asks Village Attorney to send a letter to Victoria Polidoro requesting a letter of engagement for services regarding certain Planning Board projects

Rad Wilson submits letter to Board regarding a request from someone renting the park for a party to be allowed to serve alcohol and asks to have the open container law rescinded.

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to deny the request to rescind the open container law, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye. Motion Carried

Trustee Ferrara moves to appoint Tom Brooks Zoning Board Chairman, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  Motion Carried.

Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to adjourn, seconded, Trustee Ferrara, discussion, none, all in favor, Aye.  7:45 pm
