Planning Board Meeting Minutes
November 20, 2014
Chairman Hans Klingzahn opens the meeting at 7:05 pm and introduces Matt Vetare as the newly appointed alternate board member to the Village of Fishkill Planning Board.
Roll call: Present: Hans Klingzahn, Cris Phillips, Theresa Cuchelo, Stephanie Renino
Reylene VanGeldern and alternates Hilary Roberto and Matt Vetare. Also present: Peter Phillips, Deputy Mayor and Liaison to the Planning Board, Sarah Brown, Village Planner, Christian Paggi, Paggi Engineering, Village Engineer, Victoria Polidoro, Attorney, Tom VanTine, Building Inspector and Don Van Nostrand, Secretary
Chairman Klingzahn established that there is a voting quorum.
Acceptance of the minutes from the meeting held on October 30, 2014. Motion by Cris Phillips to approve and seconded by Stephanie Renino. Votes For: 5 Votes Against: 0 Motion carried.
1. Domo Sushi - 1140 Main Street - Sign Permit Application
Sonyo Song - Business Owner
Applicant did not appear and the application would be placed on the agenda for the next
scheduled meeting on December 18, 2014.
2. Salon Doriano - 1131 Main Street - Certificate of Appropriateness
Doriano Magliano - Business Owner
The board requested that the applicant provide additional information on the proposed changes
to the building. The applicant to be placed on the December 18, 2014 meeting agenda.
3. Hudson Valley Federal - Route 9 - Site Plan Application
Applicants: - Roger Keating - Chazen Keating
- Scott Bridie - Turner Construction
- Tony Rohrmeier - Hudson Valley FCU
- Barry LoCastro - Hudson Valley FCU
Roger Keating of the Chazen Company representing the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union
reviewed the overall project and presented the proposed signage for the site.
Sarah Brown, Village Planner read the site plan resolution (on file) with conditions and signage
Chairman Klingzahn entertains a motion to adopt the resolution to approve the subdivision,
site plan and sign permit approval.
So moved: Cris Phillips Motion seconded by Theresa Cuchelo Votes for: 5 Votes against: 0
4. Ross Apartments - 12 North Street - Site Plan Application
- Special Use Permit
Applicant: - William Ross - Property Owner
- Ciro Interante - Architect
Ciro Interante updated the board on the application and a change has been made to the application
where the project will now be three apartments instead of two.
Sarah Brown reviewed her comment letter on open items (on file).
Christian Paggi reviewed his comment letter on open items (on file).
Chairman Klingzahn requested that documentation would be required on the flood plain issue before
the application could go forward.
Ciro Interante said he would work with the consultants on the open items and return to the board
when the flood plain letter is received.
Village Planner Sarah Brown provided a copy (on file) of a proposed chalk board sign change to the
sign law based on the comments made by the board at the previous meeting.
