The Village of Fishkill Board of Trustees will be holding a special meeting at Village Hall, 1095 Main Street, Fishkill, on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 6pm for the purpose of information regarding Renewable Highlands.
Renewable Highlands is a group of local citizens working in partnership with municipalities to create New York State's second Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) district in the mid-Hudson Valley. As the pilot CCA in Westchester County recently demonstrated, CCAs can save homeowners and small businesses millions on electricity supply costs, increase renewable energy, and promote greater control over our energy future. Members of Renewable Highlands and their partner organization the Ecological Citizen's Project will discuss how a CCA operates, the potential benefits to local residents, and next steps for moving forward.
Public is welcomed to comment at this information session.
