Part Time Administrative Assistant

Village of Fishkill Fire Department


Duties include providing support to the Chief and Captain of the Fire Department. Assisting in monthly reports, fire incident reports, correspondence, and maintaining record keeping for the Department’s service program.



Prepare Monthly reports for distribution to the Village Board of Trustees

Enter NYFIR incident reports with NYS OFPC monthly

Provide correspondence letters as required monthly

Prepare reports for Fire Service Award Program Quarterly

Maintain files on all monthly reports and quarterly reports

Update and manage files on Department S.O.G.’s annually

Prepare end of year summary reports annually



Working knowledge of office equipment, i.e. printers, scanners, fax machines, and computers

Proficiency in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, Internet Explorer, and MS Power Point

Strong written and verbal skills

Ability to maintain filing records

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner


Hours are flexible, hourly rate based on experience
