Mayor entertains motion to set a public hearing for Bill A-2017, a Proposed Local Law to Amend Permit Procedures for Construction in the Public Right of Way, So Move, Trustee Newhard, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, Discussion, none, all in favor, Dep. Mayor Phillips, Aye, Trustee Newhard, Aye, Trustee Brozier, Aye. Motion carried.
Trustee Brozier suggests that an “emergency excavation provision” be incorporated into the proposed local law

Building Inspector – Read by Tom Vantine, on file
Discussion regarding the damage to tree in front of 1068 Main Street caused by workers of the property owner; Village Attorney to send letter.
Tom Vantine states he has interviewed several applicants for the position of part time fire inspector and recommends the hiring of James Brady based on his experience.
Deputy Mayor Phillips moves to hire James Brady, Seconded, Trustee Brozier, discussion, rate of pay will be $20/hr for 10 hours per week, all in favor, Dep. Mayor Phillips, Aye, Trustee Newhard, Aye, Trustee Brozier, Aye. Motion carried.

Justice report submitted by Court Clerk and read by Mayor
Police report read by Commissioner Scofield, Jr.
Discussion regarding car show, Classic Cruisers representative is present to ask Board to reconsider allowing road to close to Jackson St. instead of Bedford Ave. Board remains with decision made, based on Police Commissioners concerns brought up at last meeting.

Project Coordinator- Rad Wilson reads report
Mayor discusses plan of changing locks in Village Hall and possibly installing camera at handicapped entrance to allow staff to view before releasing lock.
Ambulance report submitted
Fire Chief Knapp and Asst. Chief Vilardi are present to discussion the Fire Truck Committee’s report for the purchase of a new truck. Board to review report and revisit at the October 23rdmeeting.
